Spasms wrack me—

I’m so sick, infected— and this

pen that I can hardly hold

pours

this

ink.

 

For words

no longer live within me,

and my love

knows me

no

more.

 

My reason is gone.

 

Beloved Mother, meet me.

I’m

not

long

for this world,

 

and we must die together,

darling.
